JPO Schedules To Open New Stores On Nov 15

JOHOR BAHARU, Nov 6 (Bernama) -- Johor Premium Outlets (JPO), the first Premium Outlet centre in the region, is scheduled to open new stores on Nov 15, as part of its phase two expansion.

Comprising over 9290.30 square metres (100,000 square feet), the additions at the JPO shopping centre in Kulaijaya within Iskandar Malaysia, will feature about 40 stores, bringing the total number to 120.

"We appreciate the support of the merchant community and their confidence in JPO," said its General Manager, Jean Marie Pin Harry in a statement here, Wednesday.

The expansion of JPO he added, will offer area residents and visitors an enhanced outlet shopping experience, while providing shoppers with even more designer labels and leading brands at impressive savings under one location.

The new stores at JPO includes Aigner, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Beauty Scents, Bread & Butter, Columbia, Cotton On Kids, Florsheim, Furla, Hugo Boss, Hush Puppies, Kate Spade, LeSportsac, Pan-West and Sacoor Brothers.

Other brands like Sembonia, Springfield, Stride Rite, Sunglass Hut, Swatch and World of Outdoors will also open its stores under JPO's phase two expansion, Pin Harry said. "Additional brands will be announced at a later date," he added.

As the first outlet centre in South East Asia, JPO has helped shape the retail landscape in Johor. Since its opening in 2011, JPO has grown to become a major shopping destination, attracting millions of visitors from Malaysia, Singapore and around the region.

JPO is operated by Genting Simon Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Simon Genting Ltd, which is in turn is a 50:50 joint venture between Azzon Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Genting Plantations Bhd and Premium Outlets, the outlet division of Simon Property Group.
