Indonesian actors visit i-City

Having fun: (Froml eft) Tasha, Viviane and Lucock posing with ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’

i-City was one of the attractions chosen to showcase the country through the Asean Explore Quest Malaysia 2013.
The programme, with the aim to introduce various attractions in Malaysia to foreign visitors, was recently participated by Indonesia’s rising film stars Richard Michael Lucock (Mike Lucock), 27, Astria Prawitasari (Tasha Said), 23 and Viviane, 26. It was held as part of Tourism Malaysia’s efforts to promote more Visit Malaysia Year (VMY) 2014 products to the Indonesian audience.
The trio had an eventful evening at i-City, ‘engaging’ with world class icons, celebrities and sport stars at Red Carpet (Malaysia’s first All Stars Interactive Wax Museum). They then went to the Trick Art Museum where they creatively explored over 100 poses before touring the City of Digital Lights.
They also had a taste of winter when they stepped into the SnoWalk’s 50,000 sq ft snowplay area. B Channel from Jakarta was there to cover the trio’s tour around i-City.
Prior to the popular spot in Shah Alam, the three budding actors had toured Perak and Langkawi island with 104 other participants comprising celebrities, travel agents and media personnel.
VMY 2014 is expected to attract a new record of 28 million international tourist arrivals (74% of from the Asean region) and RM76bil in tourist receipts next year.
In view of the year-end school break and holidays, i-City has lined up a few programmes as a precursor to usher in VMY 2014. These include Cuti-Cuti 1Malaysia Night Travel Fair 2013 (Nov 29 to Dec 1); Miss Tourism International 2013/14 Meet & Greet (Dec 22) and New Year countdown celebrations (Dec 31).
