Sabah Tourism Board To Introduce 'Zip Lining' At Sabah Parks

KOTA KINABALU, Feb 26 (Bernama) -- The Sabah Tourism Board (STB) would be introducing 'zip lining' at Sabah Parks in a bid to attract more tourists inclined towards extreme and recreational sports.

Sabah Parks Board of Trustees chairman Datuk Seri Tengku Dr Zainal Adlin Tengku Mahamood said the 200-metre adventure product which was nearing completion, would allow enthusiasts to zip line the stretch of sea between Pulau Gaya and Pulau Sapi.

"We are constantly finding ways to upgrade Sabah Parks through the relevant agencies and planning strategies to enhance safety aspects and cleanliness of the islands," he told a press conference after opening the two-day Pulau Gaya Scientific Seminar 2014 here Wednesday.

Earlier in his speech, he described the seminar as a platform for the various agencies involved in the scientific expedition at Pulau Gaya last year, to share their findings towards a more holistic management of the parks.
