MAS Opens Its Refurbished Golden Lounge In KLIA

SEPANG, Feb 14 (Bernama) -- Malaysia Airlines (MAS) today opened its Golden Lounge, located on the Mezzanine Floor, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Satellite Terminal after three months of renovation works.

It was officially launched by MAS Customer Services director Datuk Mohd Salleh Ahmad Tabrani, here, today. He said the renovation of the 43,284 sq ft lounge was in line with MAS' commitment to offering its passengers world-class facilities and services.

"The lounge which caters for First and Business Class passengers, and Platinum, Gold and Enrich members can accommodate over 400 passengers. "Last year, MAS Golden Lounge recorded a total of more than 310,000 passengers and we expect a 30 per cent increase this year.

"Therefore, it is the right time for MAS to refurbish its Golden Lounge as the number of passengers has increased since MAS became a member of the oneworld alliance," he told reporters after the launching. More information on the lounge, which opens 24 hours, can be obtained from www.malaysiaairlines.com.

Meanwhile, the relocation of the MAS Golden Lounge at the Penang International Airport is now completed and has re-opened for service. It is located at the domestic terminal.
