Malindo Air Now Flies To Mumbai

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 15 (Bernama) -- Malindo Air officially launched today its five times weekly services from Kuala Lumpur to Mumbai, India.

Malindo Air, Malaysia's hybrid airline, has had daily services to New Delhi since Dec 30 last year and to Trichy from Jan 2, 2014. The next destinations in India after Mumbai will be Ahmedabad on March 19, 2014 and Kochi on April 24.

"An all-inclusive promotional one-way fare is available now at RM599 from Kuala Lumpur to Delhi, Ahmedabad and Mumbai. "The all-inclusive one-way fare to Trichy will start from RM329, with the fare to Kochi set at RM399," the airline said in a statement today.

Malindo Air's promotional one-way fare for business class from Kuala Lumpur to Mumbai is RM1,439, RM1,490 to Delhi, RM1,145 to Trichy, RM1,435 to Ahmedabad and RM999 to Kochi.

Chief Executive Officer, Chandran Rama Muthy said: "Mumbai has something for everyone, regardless of whether you are travelling there for business or leisure. "We are increasing our routes and frequencies, which translates to better connectivity, and therefore means better options for consumers to choose from."

He said after Mumbai, among the other cities in India on the radar for Malindo Air is Chennai in the south.
