Yeo said: “It is not only now that Resorts World Genting showcases international magic acts like the upcoming Genting International Magic Festival 2012. We have always been the one and only venue that stages such captivating acts in Malaysia and I am sure around the Asian region. We want to continue to be the venue for International Magic Shows. As you may be aware our resident show Freeze, an Ice Skating Magic show is also an international magic show choreographed also by Aguosta and Company from Australia.

“Last year, we had our Superstars of Magic at the resort from Oct 1 to 16 and we received tremendous response from the public. The shows were full house every day with more than 1,000 people a night. “We are confident that this year’s Genting International Magic Festival 2012 that has a combination of International Buskers, International Magicians and International Magic Factory all in the month of August will attract not only the Malaysians but also visitors from other countries.”

To kickstart the Genting International Magic Festival 2012, two of Asia’s Premier Illusionists — JC Sum and ‘Magic Babe’ Ning were invited to perform an “Extreme Inverted Double Straitjackets Escape” death-defying stunt at Maxims Genting open car park area. Well-known as “The Sexiest Woman in Magic”, ‘Magic Babe’ Ning carved her new record in Malaysia as she attempted an incredible act where she was tightly strapped up in double straitjackets hoisted by a crane upside down at 30 feet up in the air. She escaped successfully before the safety rope burnt off. Together with her onstage illusion partner, JC Sum, the death-defying stunt performance had wowed audience at the resorts.

A press conference was also held after the launching session, attended by the management of Genting Malaysia Berhad, David Lai, director of Superstars of Magic together with JC Sum and Ning. Come and catch the International Buskers from all around the world from Aug 1-15 at Resorts World Genting.
