PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Airlines is introducing new promotional fares for its recently launched Kuala Lumpur Kathmandu route, thanks to positive response from customers.
The airlines is offering all-in return economy class promotional fares from RM1,299 for travel from Kuala Lumpur to Kathmandu. “We believe that the natural grandeur of the Himalayas and rich cultural heritage of Nepal is attracting travellers,” said Muzammil Mohamad, the airlines' regional senior vice-president for Malaysia and the Asean region.
Booking starts from now until Aug 19 for travel between Sept 1 to Dec 31. A two-class configured Boeing 737-800 aircraft is being used for the thrice weekly direct route.
Starting Sept 1, flight MH170 will depart from Kuala Lumpur on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 8.55am to arrive in Kathmandu at 11.30am, while flight MH171 will depart Kathmandu at 12.20pm and will arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 7.15pm.
