Luxury resort offers pampering with butler service

Guests at the new Seri Chenang Resort and Spa Langkawi would be able to experience a whole new level of pampering with the inclusion of a 24-hour butler service.
“We want to treat our guests the way we would our own family. We want them to feel like they are on holiday in their own vacation home,” said Seri Chenang Resort and Spa Langkawi chief executive officer Norlin Zainal Abidin. Norlin was speaking at the soft launch of the resort at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
Traditional setting: Dr Ong and Norlin sitting at one of the model villas built for the launch.
Officiated by Tourism Ministry secretary-general Datuk Dr Ong Hong Peng, the event featured replicas of the Seri Chenang villas built at one of the function rooms. Designed by her father Datuk Dr Zainal Abidin Ali, an established architect, Norlin said that the initial plan was to build a holiday retreat for her parents and five siblings but her brother Shukor felt that it was a waste to be kept for their own use.
Located on the banks of Kuala Chenang River next to the popular Chenang beach, the contemporary luxury boutique resort boasts six traditional Malay heritage villas. Three of the villas have separate suites within the house that can be rented out separately.
“We want to add a touch of luxury to our traditional home concept. Trained butlers from Butlers & Groomers would be attending to the guests’ needs. “Depending on what they want to do on the island, we can custom tour packages for our guests,” said Norlin.
The resort also boasts the Kayangan Spa where guests can indulge in massage sessions to truly spoil themselves on their vacation. Guests at the launch event were also treated to a fine dinner to give them an idea of the services they can expect at the resort. For more information on the resort, visit www.serichenangresort.com.
