KLIA 2, 20 October 2025 - AirAsia Malaysia (AK) today celebrated the
inaugural flight connecting Banjarmasin
(BDJ) and Kuala Lumpur (KUL) , marking another milestone in enhancing air
connectivity between Malaysia and Indonesia. The new service operates four
times weekly, every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Ms. Salinda Sany, Senior Director of International Promotion
Division (ASEAN), Tourism Malaysia, together with the AirAsia team, welcomed
the inaugural flight at KLIA Terminal 2.
Launched just in time for the Deepavali season, this new route is
expected to boost the arrival of Indonesian travellers to Malaysia, further
enhancing travel and cultural exchanges and supporting Tourism Malaysia’s
efforts as we gear up for Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
