The 2012 Miss Tourism International competition will hold its finals at the Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa on Dec 31. The pageant will be broadcast live through free-to-air TV and the Internet.
Continuing with the introdutions of the week are Miss India, Miss Azerbaijan, Miss Mexico, Miss Bolivia and Miss Venezuela.
MISS INDIA: The Delhi-born Mreenalini Singh enjoys horse-riding and shopping in her free time.
She says that visitors to her country were treated with utmost respect.
She says that she would introduce the unique blend of history, cultures, traditional and modernism of her country to foreigners.
The 23-year-old loves travelling, and cites Kashmir as a paradise on earth — with its snow-capped mountains, landscaped gardens and the romantic houseboats.
MISS MEXICO: Standing at 166cm tall, Gabriela Sotelo Maldonado’s interests lies in modelling and reading.
As a person in the field of marketing, the 24-year-old says she will promote Mexico through its diversity, rich culture and tradition. Maldonado points out that there is something for everyone, from the great metropolis to the enigmatic anthropologic sites and spectacular natural landscapes.
MISS BOLIVIA: Commercial engineer Sasha Medina Mita likes nothing more than to spend time with her family and friends.
As with the other beauties, Mita loves showing off the beautiful aspects of her country. “I’d like to be the official model to promote tourism via posters, brochures and social networks. To me, it is very important to show how beautiful my country is.”
The 23-year-old has made a calendar for 2013, which highlights the beautiful attractions in Bolivia’s major cities. Of all the attractions, Mita singles out the historical salt desert of Salar de Uyuni and the religious and cultural celebration of Oruro Carnival.
MISS VENEZUELA: The 171cm-tall model Marielis Alejandra Castellanos Perez spends her free time dancing and walking.
“As a tourism ambassador for my country, I want to invite everyone to travel and get to know a paradise where the climate is tropical, the food is exotic and many beautiful landscapes that are also rich in resources.
The pearl of the Caribbean, Margarita is an attraction the 25-year-old Perez recommends.
MISS AZERBAIJAN: Armina Moradi, 23, is a sports-loving girl who shares with others her skills in tennis as a coach and trainer.
She also loves to share the beauty of her country.
One attraction she recommends is the Maiden Tower located in the Old City, Baku.
