The 16th Miss Tourism International 2012 will be broadcast live through free-to-air TV and Internet.
Today we present the delegates from Estonia, Dominican Republic, Moldova, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Belarus.
MISS ESTONIA: Musician and orchestra conductor Xenia Likhacheva does ballet and music in her free time as well as yoga and sports.
The 23-year-old said she was participating in this competition so she could promote her country through the media. She would also use Facebook, Twitter and blogs to post all the beautiful places in Estonia and introduce its history in a way that is easy to be read by everyone.
Tallinn, the capital and largest city of Estonia, is an important place for Likhacheva as she was born there.
One tourist attraction that she recommends is Tallinn Songbowl, a location tied with the fall of Communism in Estonia. It is where national competitions and festivals have been held.
MISS DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: Hailing from Santiago, 21-year-old student Clarissa Molina enjoys dancing, reading and listening to music.
“I would invite everybody to the beautiful beaches of my country and let them enjoy the lifestyle of my country.”
Of all the beaches, Molina recommends Punta Cana. “To me, it is like paradise where you have beaches and beautiful hotels.”
MISS MOLDOVA: 178cm-tall model Alisa Ribac will be representing Moldova.
She loves travelling and if she could, she would like to invite all the girls from this contest as well as the organisers to visit her country
For wine lovers especially, the 23-year-old model pointed out that Moldova has the best wines at the Milestii mici, which has the world’s biggest wine collection made from crops of various years.
MISS BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA: Fatima Alic, a 171cm-tall student from Zvornik will be representing Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“I would organise a huge event to get the media involved in promoting my beautiful country as well as showcasing beautiful photos of my country,” said the 21-year-old.
Alic who enjoys playing volleyball and swimming, said two attractions that she would recommend were the 400-year-old Old Bridge and a waterfall in the cities of Mastor and Jajce as special in their own way.
MISS BELARUS: A student, Anastasiya Pahranichnaya spends her free time playing sports or reading books.
“There are many beautiful sites in my country such as crystal-clear blue lakes, biosphere preserves, green forests and beautiful nature.”
Pahranichnaya said would like to spread information about Belarus’ tasty food, culture and natural beauty with everyone.
With many tourism attractions and being close to Vilnuis, Klev, Warsaw and Moscow, Pahranichnaya would recommend visitors to go to Minsk, the historical capital city of Belarus.
