MyCEB to promote Genting temple as a venue for business meetings, conventions and international events

The Chin Swee Caves Temple Building Society and the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) recently signed a memorandum of understanding at Wisma Genting Pahang, as MyCEB’s fourth shell site and to promote the temple’s 10,600sq m Sky Terrace as a venue for business and international events.

The signing of the MOU was done between Chin Swee Caves Temple Building Society vice-chairman Tan Kong Han, who is also the president and chief operating officer of Genting Bhd, and MyCEB chief executive officer Zulkefli Sharif.

“We hope MyCEB will help to further promote Sky Terrace to the international business community as an ideal site venue for international events. With this collaboration with MyCEB, we look forward to place Chin Swee Caves Temple and Malaysia on the world map of international business events,” said Tan.

Zulkefli added that, “MyCEB is continuously looking to develop competitive, creative and innovative offerings to further attract international business events to the country.

“A big selling point for Malaysia is our rich culture where one can experience the whole of Asia in one destination. Hence, adding one-of-a-kind venues like the Chin Swee Caves Temple into our list of offerings will definitely make Malaysia more appealing as a business events venue.”

Shell sites are unique and iconic sites that could be utilised as off-site business events for groups as large as 1,000 people. As an alternative to conventional meeting venues, shell sites presents its visitors with an experience of meetings while being enclosed within the cultural and natural elements of Malaysia.

Chin Swee Caves Temple is located 1,402m above sea level and is less than one hour from Kuala Lumpur. This unique venue is situated on a rocky forested mountain overlooking lush green slopes of virgin forests. Chin Swee Caves Temple is regarded as a tourist hub and visitors come to the temple to offer prayers to the Chin Swee deity and ask for blessings from Buddha.

Besides this, Chin Swee Caves Chin Swee Caves Temple has since played host to numerous cultural activities and promotional events, drawing local tourists and visitors from near and far. The temple has a meditation hall and two meetings rooms.

Besides prayers and views, it also offers 110 rooms where devotees can stay in comfort for retreat, prayers, reflection, meditation and self-discovery and boasts a vegetarian restaurant.

With this MOU, Chin Swee Caves Temple will be the fourth shell site of MyCEB after Putrajaya Maritime Centre, Central Market and Thean Hou Temple.
