KUALA LUMPUR – Tourism Malaysia has officially launched the "Soul of Malaysia" culinary campaign at De.Wan 1958, The Exchange TRX, marking a significant strategic partnership to elevate the gastronomic profile of the nation.
This collaboration leverages the legendary culinary
expertise of Chef Wan to showcase authentic heritage flavours, positioning
local food culture as a key pillar of the overarching Visit Malaysia 2026
(VM2026) tourism experience.
The launch ceremony was attended by Mr. Wizani bin Rosmin, Senior Director, Management, Covering for Deputy Director General Planning, of Tourism Malaysia, alongside Chef Wan, co-founder of De.Wan 1958, and key industry stakeholders.
The presence of key officials from both the public and private
sectors underscores the shared commitment of the tourism board and local
culinary leaders to championing premium gastronomic retail as a major driver of
national tourism consumption.
