KTM Komuter general manager Hider Mohd Yusoff said the non-stop train services involved 405 additional services with a frequency of 15 and 30 minutes for all routes namely Rawang to Sg Gadut, Sg Gadut to Rawang, Batu Caves to Port Klang, and Port Klang to Batu Caves.
He said the train services demonstrated the support given by the KTMB to the Ministry of Tourism and Culture to promote the Visit Malaysia Year 2014 that was targeted to benefit 500,000 passengers.
"We scheduled 500 dedicated staff to ensure safety and comfort for the passengers," he said at a media conference on the commuter services in conjunction with Thaipusam at the Batu Caves KTM Commuter Station, here today.
Members of the public, including tourists, are encouraged to use the service based on the 'Park n Ride' concept by parking their vehicles at the nearest commuter station and taking the commuter train.
