The Tourism Ministry has been vigorously promoting Malaysia’s beautiful tropical natural scenery and the unique and diversified Malaysian cuisine to the world, which has received very encouraging response.
To further promote the pluralism of Malaysian cuisine, the minstry and the Malaysia Selangor and Federal Territory Ku Su Shin Choong Hung Restaurant Association are jointly organising the “Fabulous Food 1Malaysia Restaurant Food Festival and Cooking Competition” which will be held for three days starting tomorrow at the PWTC Tun Razak Hall 2. For the past two years, the food festival had received enthusiastic response and support from Malaysians as well as tourists around the world.
This year, the organisers are determined to make the show even bigger and grander. The major highlight of the festival is the Malaysia International Smart Chef Cooking competition and Malaysia International Halal Food Cooking competition sponsored by Lee Kum Kee. Sixty master chefs from all over the world will be showing off their talents and abilities to compete for the Lee Kum Kee Trophy.
In addition, the organisers have invited five renowned chefs from China Awu Delicious Food to showcase their culinary skills. Visitors to the festival can look forward to a line-up of games, contests and competitions offering great prizes to the winners.
In conjunction with this event, there are also exciting redemptions for the public. For the first redemption, collect four of The Star’s mastheads until Nov 20 to redeem trolley bags worth RM60 each. The second redemption requires the public to collect three of The Star’s mastheads until Nov 20 to redeem goodie bags worth RM30 each.
