Best Western International has announced that a new 139-room BEST WESTERN PLUS hotel in Malaysia is scheduled to be opened in 2015.
The project, Klang, is located within a 31-storey tower with a contemporary glass façade whilst the hotel reception lobby is being designed to be located on the ground floor and the sky lounge, fitness center and swimming pool are to be located on the 18th floor. There are also expected to be 90 small office variable office suites available for local and international business travellers. “We are thrilled to announce this exciting collaboration,” stated executive director, Lagenda Erajuta Sdn Bhd, Lim Thiam Huat.
“Best Western International is the world’s largest hotel chain with 4,000 independently owned and operated hotels around the world. BEST WESTERN PLUS is suitable for Port Klang as it’s a Free Trade Zone and surrounded by other international business development, which is right at 1Gateway’s doorstep. “Foreign and local businessmen will find it convenient and comfortable to stay in and will enjoy the right ambience for conducting business.”
Echoing Huat’s statements is vice president international operations – Asia and the Middle East, Best Western International, Glenn de Souza who said: “1Gateway is the latest and arguably the most exciting new development located on 17.3 acres of prime land with two towers and a net built up of more than 400,000ft2. “Strategically speaking in terms of location, product and brand expansion, this is a valuable addition to Best Western’s growing Malaysian portfolio.”
