Public Limousine Service Is Langkawi's Latest Attraction

LANGKAWI, July 12 (Bernama) -- Limousines will become the latest attraction in Langkawi and increase the quality of public transportation service in the resort island. Chairman of the Kedah chapter of Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) Pishol Ishak said 50 limousine permits were issued to the Langkawi Development, Service and Tourism Cooperative for that purpose.

So far, the public limousine service had received encouraging response, he said at the tourism product operators get-together session at the De Baron Resort here today. Pishol said the cooperative would also increase the number of their limousines in stages. Over 100 tourism product and rental car operators took part in the session which was launched by Langkawi Development Authority deputy general manager (I) Hanafi Ahmad.
