Agong Officiates Malaysia International Dive Expo 2010

KUALA LUMPUR, July 30 (Bernama) -- Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Friday officiated the Fifth Malaysia International Dive Expo (MIDE) 2010. Tuanku Mizan, accompanied by Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tuanku Nur Zahirah and their four children, also toured the expo. Their son Tengku Muhammad Mua'az and daughter, Tengku Fatimatuz Zahra' also participated in the Reading Pledge with Kids Scuba Ranger during the opening ceremony at the Putra World Trade Centre here.

Also present were Secretary General, Ministry of Tourism Malaysia Datuk Ong Hong Peng and National Art Gallery director-general Datuk Mohd Yusof Ahmad. The fifth edition of the expo, which has 250 booths and 150 exhibitors, is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors. Besides sales of diving products and packages for dive destinations, there will also be seminars, workshops for digital underwater photography and talk shows hosted throughout the three days of the expo.
