The PATA Destination Experience Forum and Mart 2023 Pacific Asia Travel Association, hosted by the Sarawak Tourism Board, took place in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, from June 21-23.
The event focused on sustainability in action, focusing on managing destinations, digital marketing, and promoting sustainability within the industry.
The three-day program included technical tours, a forum and B2B adventure travel trade show, and networking events. Tourism professionals gained practical experience in discovering and marketing world-class attractions and products to a global audience in a sustainable way.
Tourism Malaysia’s Deputy Director General in Promotion, Datuk Musa Hj. Yusof is one of the panel discussing climate action strategies for destinations and operators, highlighting best practices for transitioning from climate strategy to tactics.
