Hong Kong Airlines Arrive In Kuching On Inaugural Flight

KUCHING, May 28 (Bernama)-- Hong Kong Airlines' inaugural flight to Kuching was accorded a water salute upon taxiing into the parking apron at Kuching International Airport at 5.30am Saturday.

The maiden flight which took three hours and thirty minutes left Hong Kong International Airport at 1.55am while the return flight left at 6.20 am, arriving in Hong Kong at 9.55am.

On hand to receive the passengers and crew were Permanent Secretary to the Tourism Ministry and Sarawak Tourism Board chief executive officer Datu Ik Pahon Joyik and Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad general manager (Marketing), Mohamed Sallauddin Mat Sah.

Hong Kong Airlines will fly into Kuching twice weekly, on Wednesday and Saturday.
