90,000 visitors expected at MATTA Fair

Some 90,000 visitors are expected to flock to the MATTA Fair at Level 4 Penang Times Square in Penang from July 5-7.

MATTA Fair organising chairman Jeffri Sulaiman said yesterday that there would be 190 booths available for exhibitors. “Visitors can expect to find attractive and value for money airline tickets and tour packages,” he said.
He said the fair this time would be different than the previous fairs as it would be wholly managed by Micem Sdn Bhd, which have years of experience in organising the tremendously successful MATTA Fairs in Kuala Lumpur.
“The expertise of this team will be used to market the Penang MATTA Fair and they are confident that all 190 booths would be taken up by travel agents, tour operators, airlines, hotels, resorts and foreign National Tourism Organisations,” he added.
State Tourism Development and Culture Committee chairman Danny Law and MATTA Penang chapter chairman Johari Shafee also attended the press conference.
