New landmark for Putrajaya

Putrajaya will have a new hotel by the end of the year and, once completed, it will be part of a larger mixed development comprising retail and office blocks.

Located in Precinct 1, the Everly Putrajaya is connected to the Alamanda Shopping Centre and the soft launching is planned in November.

An MoU was signed under the “Everly” brand between Indah Putrajaya Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd (PHSB) and Value Hospitality Limited. The hotel boasts 382 guest rooms, 1,000 seats banquet hall, eight meeting rooms, coffee-house, cafe lounge, swimming pool as well as an executive and air crew lounges.

“We are fulfilling a need for a hotel in the administrative capital that will cater to the business needs of the population as well as tourists to the city,’’ said PHSB chief executive officer Datuk Azlan Abdul Karim.

The Everly is a three-star hotel with four-star facilities that is a stylish stay-away from home yet affordable and practical. Azlan added that the hotel would further enhance the vibrancy of the city especially with the Alamanda Shopping Centre area, the main shopping and leisure attraction in Putrajaya.

“This development is only the second this year to be rated as a green building. This is in line with PHSB’s commitment to follow green building design and practices,’’ added Azlan. Value Hospitality Limited will manage and operate the hotel for ten years with an option for further extension.

“We are truly pleased to be managing this property since we have been involved in the design and construction of the hotel from the very beginning. “The Everly Putrajaya has the potential of becoming a significant businessman’s hotel and a venue for meetings and seminars in Putrajaya,’’ said Value Hospitality Group (VHG) managing director Dennis Tan.

Tan added that with the model garden city reputation and steady efforts to promote Putrajaya as a tourist destination, the new brand will also expect to see a rise in local and foreign tourists’ arrivals.

VHG currently manages five hotels including the Everly range and Prescott range which include ParkCity Everly Hotel Bintulu, ParkCity Everly Hotel Miri, Prescott Hotel Klang, Prescott Inn Kuala Lumpur and Prescott Metro Inn Kajang.
