Free goodie bags for The Star readers

The Tourism Ministry and the Kuala Lumpur Chinese Assembly Hall will hold the 1Malaysia Lantern Tourism Festival 2012 at Central Market, Kuala Lumpur from today to Sept 30. As part of the promotion for the festival, the organisers have teamed up with The Star to hand out goodie bags containing mooncakes, mineral water and mini QQ dragon lanterns for the first 200 visitors.
Visitors must bring a copy of today’s front page of The Star in order to redeem the goodie bags from 6pm onwards today at the redemption counter at Central Market. Each family will only be entitled to one goodie bag.
The festival is scheduled to be launched tonight at 8pm by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. A giant 1Malaysia Lantern would be constructed at the site. Apart from the display of colourful giant lanterns from Malaysia and Taiwan, visitors will be invited to join the lantern procession from Central Market to Chinatown with a 600ft dragon dance which will be led by Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen.
