Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - The International
Tourism & Culture Exhibition and Conference 2024, known as INTAC
2024, is set to take place from 3rd to 6th October 2024 at the World Trade
Centre, Kuala Lumpur. The event aims to encourage tourism while highlighting
various cultures in Malaysia, bringing together international industry leaders,
cultural enthusiasts, and tourism professionals to discuss, share, and work on
innovative ideas for sustainable tourism and cultural preservation.
The travel and tourism industry
has experienced significant growth in the past two years and is expected to
continue rising soon. In 2023, Malaysia welcomed 20.1 million tourists,
generating RM71.3 billion in revenue, surpassing the target of 16.1 million
arrivals. For 2024, Malaysia aims to welcome 27.3 million tourists with RM102.7
billion in tourism revenue.
INTAC 2024 will feature the
Ministerial Summit and cultural exchange programs, showcasing the cultural
heritage of different countries through art exhibitions, cultural festivals,
and conferences on topics related to cultural preservation and promotion. The
event is expected to draw 100,000 attendees, with 300 exhibitors, 12 Country
Pavilions, 40 Country participations, and 20 group international and domestic
performances.
Visitors to INTAC 2024 can also
look forward to the Malaysia Cultural Showcase, a vibrant extravaganza of
music, dance, and art that will transport them to the heart of Malaysian
culture. The International Festival Parade will dazzle spectators with a colourful
procession of performers from around the world, showcasing the best of their
respective cultures.
INTAC 2024 is not just a feast
for the senses but also a marketplace for business opportunities. It will
facilitate networking and deal-making, with contracts worth more than RM30
million expected to be signed during the event.
