Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak launched the first Four Seasons Place in South-East Asia in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday. The ceremony was witnessed by the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, and Tan Sri Syed Yusof Tun Syed Nasir, who are shareholders of Venus Assets Sdn Bhd.
Four Seasons Place and Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur are the brand’s first integrated development in South-East Asia, managed by Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts. The 1.5 million sq ft development will consist of over 300,000 sq ft of luxury retail space, with more than 230 hotel rooms, as well as hotel service apartments and residences ranging from 1,300 to 12,000 square-feet in size per unit.
The development is expected to be completed in four years and will be a new landmark located in Kuala Lumpur City Centre.
The signing of the agreement between Venus Assets Sdn Bhd and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts Asia Pacific Pte Ltd marks the collaboration between both parties in the Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur project. Also present at the launch were Venus Assets Sdn Bhd director Datuk David Ban and its managing director, Richard Ng.
Syed Yusof said, “Four Seasons Place is an iconic development with a gross development value of RM2.8bil. It will contribute in no small way towards providing employment and jobs to the people as this is vital for the government in its effort to maintain full employment.
“It will also have a positive effect on other industries such as the suppliers, contractors, architects, engineers, lawyers and, of course bankers, and this bodes well for the economy and the nation.”
Private residence owners will enjoy the highest residential swimming pool located over 330m above ground or hosting dinner events at the highest level of the tower. Four Seasons facilities include private lifts, a swimming pool on the facility deck and club facilities made available on the lower and middle levels of the residential floors, which will boost the prestigious branded development.
Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur will provide world-class five-star hospitality services to guests and residents. The private residences and hotel are both designed according to Four Seasons standards, providing world-class accommodation to residents and guests.
“The Four Seasons Residences provides the ultimate in prestige and exclusivity but the real priority is your own personal satisfaction. We can even stock your groceries, cater your dinner parties, arrange a chef to cook in your home, order in from the hotel’s restaurants or get last-minute theatre tickets through the concierge. “You are not buying a piece of property but you are buying a lifestyle that is truly unique and special,” added Syed Yusof.
The glittering launch was held on the grounds of the future residences at Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur, and was attended by many dignitaries including the prime minister’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen and Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Ahmad Phesal Talib.
The Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur is a joint venture between the Sultan of Selangor, Syed Yusof, Datuk Ong Beng Seng and Ban. The brand’s expansion to Kuala Lumpur will play an important role to mould the country’s tourism sector into a luxury travel destination.
