Have you ever dreamt of going to the mountains in Chaffee County, Colorado to experience playing in the snow? Or wishing you were the hero or heroine in scenes of Winter Sonata but financially not able or cannot afford the time? Fret no more, the new SnowWorld is back!
Present to launch the event was Genting Malaysia Bhd executive vice-president Datuk Kevin Sim and the management team. Astro celebrity Jentzen was also present at the event.

All invited guests were called upon to light up the eight-foot SnowWorld logo ice sculpture with crystal light, followed by a “Day & Night” LED light animation show which is one of the new attractions at SnowWorld.
The new SnowWorld offers four new attractions.
First up is the “Winter Downtown plus World Heritage Concept”.
Upon taking your first step into the entrance of the SnowWorld, you will notice the relief façade along the sideway of the snow chamber that depicts the concept of a winter downtown experience. The stretch of streetscape along the slope also creates a wonderful visually-stimulating experience as animated and rhythmic lights twinkle from the windows of the shops.
Each depicts an English tea shop, a French bakery, an Italian pizzeria as well as shops displaying Spanish red wine, Dutch clogs and Swiss chocolates.
Another attraction that will definitely catch your attention is the ‘LED Light Animation Scheme’.
Instead of using regular lights, a unique light scheme was installed to give the SnowWorld a cheery daytime feel as well as a gradual transformation to a magical nighttime romantic evening.
So, for those romantic ones, take a stroll down the streets of a snowy downtown and be amazed as you create sweet memories with your loved ones.
The next attraction that visitors should check out is ‘The Lookout Point’.
There are plenty of attraction spots and corners in the thematic interior which provide a beautiful backdrop for endless photo opportunities. Climb up a flight of stairs to the outlandish castle which is a contrast to the quaint and scenic downtown streetscape.
Finally, drop by the ‘Warm House’. It is another attraction nestled in the snow-covered “hills” that is perfect for a break. It is a pleasant place to take a rest before continuing with more discoveries at the snowy wonderland.
For the more adventurous, take a spin on the Play Slide or Cresta Run Slide that will definitely steal your breath away as you slide down from the top of the hill. Also be awed by the spectacular ice sculptures on display as you frolic in the snow and take this chance to throw snowballs at your friends.
SnowWorld is located at Level T2A, First World Plaza. Tickets are priced at RM30 for adult and RM25 for child and senior citizen that includes snow gear such as jackets, gloves and boots.
