Firefly set to take off in flying colours

SHAH ALAM: The cabin crew of short-haul airline Firefly will sport a new look come this Chinese New Year.

The airline yesterday unveiled its latest cabin crew uniform that will be used Sunday onwards. The look is rather contemporary an orange dress with a slim belt and a scarf for flight attendants and a grey dress and similar accessories for cabin supervisors.

Firefly COO Ignatius Ong said it was the perfect time for the airline to launch the new uniform. “The Chinese New Year celebration is the best time to unveil the new uniform because of the tradition to wear new clothes during the celebration. “The chic new design does not only exemplify professionalism but the colour orange also symbolises prosperous years ahead,” said Ong, adding that the design was the brainchild of company's creative team.

He added that the new look was a part of the airline's continuous effort to enhance the Firefly brand and provide passengers great services with a fresh vibe.

In conjunction with the launch, Firefly is holding a month-long campaign called “Get Candid and Win” from now until March 8 that offers attractive prizes for the winners. Ong also announced that the airline would buy 20 more new aircraft in stages, starting June, to better serve travellers.
