More AirAsia X flights to Taipei and Perth

SEPANG: AirAsia X is increasing its flight frequency from Kuala Lumpur to Taipei and Perth in line with its move to focus on its core markets this year.

The long-haul, low-fare affiliate of AirAsia will increase its daily flights to Taipei to 11 a week effective June 22 and nine a week to Perth from June 24. AirAsia X chief executive officer Azran Osman-Rani said the airline was responding to strong and growing travel demand to and from Taiwan and Australia. “The demand for travel to Perth and Taipei recorded strong average passenger loads in excess of 85% last year,” he said in a statement yesterday.

To commemorate the addi-tional frequencies, AirAsia X is offering promotional fares from as low as RM299 one way (all- in) from Kuala Lumpur to Perth and Taipei. Passengers from the two cities may also take advantage of AirAsia X's “fly thru” services and hot deals for connections from Kuala Lumpur to popular South-East Asian destinations such as Singapore, Thailand (Phuket) and Indonesia (Medan, Jakarta, Bali, Surabaya).

AirAsia X's South-East Asian guests may also enjoy “fly thru” flights to Taipei and Perth with fares from as low as THB5,290 all-in, one way from Thailand; IDR1,269,000 all-in, one way from Indonesia; and S$189 all-in, one way from Singapore. All promotional deals are only for the added flight frequencies to Taipei and Perth and are available exclusively on www.airasia.com for bookings from March 12 to 25 for travel between June 21 and Oct 27.
