DUBAI, 15 September 2026 -
Tourism Malaysia held a productive meeting with Al Rais Travel to strengthen
tourism cooperation and promote Malaysia as a preferred destination for
travellers from the UAE and the wider Middle East in conjunction with Visit
Malaysia 2026–2027.
Discussions focused on travel trade collaboration, destination
promotion and the development of attractive Malaysia holiday packages, while
highlighting Malaysia’s educational, medical, halal and Muslim-friendly tourism
offerings, alongside its culture, nature and gastronomy.
As part of the collaboration, Tourism Malaysia will participate in
the 14th edition of Al Rais Travel’s “Explore & Experience”, scheduled from
23 to 25 October 2026 at Al Khawaneej Walk. The event will target UAE nationals
and expatriates, with Al Rais Travel offering attractive Malaysia packages
throughout the three-day event.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Chua Choon Hwa, Deputy Secretary
General (Tourism), Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia; Mr. Riaz
Abdul Razak, Consul General of Malaysia in Dubai and the Northern Emirates; Mr.
Mohd Faharuddin Hatmin, Director of Tourism Malaysia Dubai; and Ms. Mohana
Murni Shanmugan, Deputy Director, MENA Unit, International Promotion Division
(Asia/Africa).
Representing Al Rais Travel were Mr. Mohamed Jassim Al Rais,
Executive Director, and Mr. Prem Sagar, Group General Manager.
Both parties look forward to further strengthening collaboration and
promoting Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 through enhanced consumer engagement and
travel trade initiatives.
