SEOUL, 8 May 2023: Malaysia won the Best Booth Contents Award at the 38th Seoul International Travel Fair (SITF) 2023, which took place at the COEX, Seoul, South Korea from 4th - 7th May 2023.
The award was presented today to the Head of Delegation of Tourism Malaysia, Mohd Amirul Rizal Bin Abdul Rahim by the Chairman of Seoul International Travel Fair, Shin, Joong - mok. By showcasing its unique attractions and experiences, Malaysia has brought visitors to experience Malaysia's uniqueness by presenting special demonstrations of the "Teh Tarik" and "Batik Painting" performances, which attracted thousands of visitors during the event.
Together with Tourism Malaysia were the industry players from the state of Sabah and Sarawak, which with the theme of "Experience Malaysia Truly Asia", Tourism Malaysia believe the outcome of this participation will greatly contribute towards the increase of Korean travellers to Malaysia. In addition to the programmes held at the booth, Tourism Malaysia also highlighted the upcoming Visit Malaysia Year (VMY) 2025 as well as re-informed the market that Batik Air, a Malaysian-based regional airline will be flying from ICN to KUL starting 24th June 2023.
Overall, The 38th Seoul International Travel Fair (SITF) 2023 offers Tourism Malaysia an excellent platform to enhance its presence in the market as well as to promote Malaysia as a destination of excellence to the world.
