29th Mount Kinabalu International Climbathon ( 16 October 2016 )

Elite mountain runners convene at what has been dubbed the World’s Toughest Mountain Race, the 29th Mount Kinabalu International Climbathon.

This year, only 120 qualifed and invited runners will be taking on Kinabalu as they flag off from Kinabalu Park and make their way to the peak at 4095.2 metres above sea level before crossing the finish line back at Kinabalu Park.

While casual climbers may take an average of two days to scale the mountain, professional mountain runners can clock as fast as 4 hours. Categories available this year are the Men and Women’s Elite.
