Lufthansa To Introduce Daily Flights To KL On March 29

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 16 (Bernama) -- German airline Lufthansa will introduce daily flights from Frankfurt to Kuala Lumpur from March 29.

For the new summer schedule, Lufthansa will increase the capacity on the Frankfurt-Kuala Lumpur route from five weekly connections to a daily service, the airline said in a statement. The route will continue to be operated with an Airbus 340-300.

In addition, the new Premium Economy Class will be introduced from June 3 onwards on all the airline's routes to Malaysia. Lufthansa Malaysia General Manager Paurus Nekoo said the decision to increase capacity was in response to strong customer demand and a show of confidence in the Malaysian market.

Malaysia Airports Managing Director Datuk Badlisham Ghazali welcomed Lufthansa's daily operations into KL from March 29, saying the daily service and premium economy product reflects the airline's confidence and the market buoyancy on the Europe-Malaysia route.

Premium Economy passengers get check-in baggage allowance of two bags of up 23 kg each. The Premium Economy seats also have about 50 per cent more space than Economy Class seats.
