Deputy Federal Territories Minister Datuk Dr Loga Bala Mohan said the programme involved parts of Persiaran Perdana, Dataran Putrajaya, the Putrajaya Corporation Complex (PPj) and the banks of the lake at Presint 2 and 3.
"The buildings of the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry, Menara Usahawan, National Registration Department, Immigration Department, the PPj arch, and the Palace of Justice will be among those which will be lit up," he told a press conference in conjunction with the pre-launch of LAMPU 2014 here today.
He added that the programme, would held from 7.30 p.m till 12 a.m. would include events like an interactive light game, an exhibition of lit automotives, lit bicycles and trishaw rides, a mini IT expo, a wayang kulit show and a photography competition.
Loga Bala said the festival would be similar to the International Lighting Festival commonly held in major cities of the world such as the Lyon Lighting Festival, Amsterdam Light Festival, Berlin Festival of Light and the a Light Matters Europe's Leading Festival.
"This event will hopefully lift Putrajaya to international status and attract more tourists," he said, adding that the programme was expected to draw about 100,000 visitors.
