The discussion focused on understanding current preferences among
Australian luxury travellers and identifying how Malaysia can be positioned
more attractively within this segment. Luxury Escapes shared several market
insights, noting strong growth for Kuala Lumpur, with Langkawi and Pangkor Laut
emerging as standout leisure destinations.
They also provided a general overview of several hotels that are
performing well among their travellers, offering useful insights that may help
Tourism Malaysia refine future promotional strategies. Luxury Escapes further
emphasised its global strength, supported by a membership base of 9 million
loyal & high-value travellers.
Both parties also discussed several collaborative programme ideas
planned for 2027, aimed at strengthening Malaysia’s visibility and desirability
among premium Australian travellers.
