Tourism Malaysia officially kicks off
its Sales Mission to Vietnam from 8 to 14 April 2025, covering Ho Chi Minh City
and Hanoi, in a strategic effort to boost arrivals and fortify Malaysia’s
presence in the Vietnamese market.
Led by YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing,
Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, the mission focuses on exploring
business collaborations, enhancing marketing efforts, and promoting niche
segments such as Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H). Key activities include seminars,
networking sessions, and destination promotions aimed at the leisure travel
market.
Tourism Malaysia will also participate
in the Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2025, from 10 to 13 April in
Hanoi, featuring an exciting line-up at the Malaysia Pavilion — including
Sarawak Tourism Board, Tourism Melaka, AirAsia, Batik Air, and travel partners
such as BestPrice Travel. Visitors can also look forward to vibrant cultural
showcases by the Sarawak Arts Council, including a live sape performance and
traditional tattoo art.
The Minister of Tourism, Arts and
Culture also paid an official visit to the Vietnam International Travel Mart
(VITM), held in Hanoi from 10 to 13 April 2025. During the event, Tourism
Malaysia received two awards – the Impressive Booth Award and Attractive
Activities Award. The awards were presented by Mr. Vu The Binh, President of
the Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA), together with the Minister of Tourism,
Arts and Culture of Vietnam.
With 167 weekly flights and over 29,000
seat capacity between Vietnam and Malaysia, this mission aims to strengthen
connectivity, encourage cultural exchange, and elevate tourism flows between
both nations.
