“GO MALAYSIA” Campaign Launched In Singapore

SINGAPORE, 26 August 2022 – The “Go Malaysia” campaign was launched today to promote affordable short getaway packages to Malaysia for tourists from Singapore. The launch was officiated by His Excellency, Dato' Dr. Azfar Mohamad Mustafar, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore, alongside Mr. Mohd Shahrir Mohd Ali, Director of Tourism Malaysia – International Promotion Division (ASEAN), Mr. Salahuddin Mohd Ariffin, Director of Tourism Malaysia Singapore Office, and Mr. William Lee, Managing Director of EasyBook.com.

The initiative sees Tourism Malaysia in partnership with EasyBook.com to offer transportation, accommodation, and attractions in Malaysia catered specifically to the Singapore market. These deals can be purchased on EasyBook.com from 24 August 2022 to 15 December 2022 for travel to Malaysia between 24 August 2022 to 31 December 2022.

For the “Go Malaysia'' campaign, EasyBook.com, the largest land & sea transportation online booking platform in Southeast Asia, is offering special value-for-money short getaway packages and up to 50% discount on all bus bookings from Singapore to Malaysia, valid with the ‘GOMALAYSIA’ promo code. A variety of package deals are available, including Genting Highlands, Kuala Lumpur, Desaru, and more.

Mr. Salahuddin Mohd Ariffin said, “As the demand for online travel booking rises, we believe that it is time for us to embark on a more aggressive campaign. Partnering with EasyBook.com is expected to indulge more Singapore residents to visit Malaysia, and meet our objective of attaining the target of 4.5 million tourists this year.”

Mr William Lee, Managing Director of EasyBook.com said, “EasyBook.com is honoured to work with Tourism Malaysia to promote Malaysia as the main tourist destination for Singapore residents. As the largest and leading one-stop online transport ticketing platform in Southeast Asia, EasyBook.com hopes the “Go Malaysia” Campaign with Tourism Malaysia will further spur travel from Singapore to Malaysia and empower the collaboration between Malaysia Travel Suppliers with Singapore Travel Agents.”

He added, “An automated fare calculation system for bus chartering has been launched in EasyBook.com that enables big groups to charter the whole bus rather than buying individual bus tickets, encouraging them to travel with their families and friends.”

Since the reopening of its international borders, Singapore has been the main contributor to arrivals and revenue for tourism to Malaysia. After more than two years of hiatus, Tourism Malaysia Singapore Office has commenced promotional programmes to excite Singapore travellers and showcase what Malaysia has to offer.
