HOLIDAY-GOERS can look forward to a variety of vacation deals and value-for-money travel packages at the upcoming Malaysian Asso-ciation of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair-Selangor Carnival (MFSC) 2018.

The inaugural carnival will take place from July 27 to 29 at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS), Selangor.

MATTA Selangor chapter chairman Datuk Syed Abdul Rahman Alhabshi said the event would focus on boosting domestic tourism, especially in Selangor.

“Many often explore other countries when it comes to travelling, not realising the abundance of hidden gems in our own country.

“Many people, even those in Malaysia, are not aware of what our domestic attractions.

“In Selangor, they are so many interesting destinations and sights such as the Sky Mirror and fireflies in Kuala Selangor.

“Not forgetting the breathtaking padi fields and rustic fishing villages in Sekinchan as well as the Selangor Fruits Valley in Rawang,” he said, adding that the event’s first edition was expected to attract around 70,000 visitors.

In support of the carnival, Tourism Selangor and Tourism Malaysia will have their own pavilion the size of 10 booths each.

Additionally, visitors will get to enjoy an array of fun activities.

There will be a section dedicated to the young ones where they can have fun at the bouncy castle and merry-go-round while their parents take their time to browse around.

Food lovers can look forward to a food fest a floor below the exhibition hall.
“There will be some 30 food trucks lined up offering Malaysian delicacies from across states including Perak, Melaka and Kedah.

“Also not to be missed out is the durian and pineapple fest,” he said.

On top of that, visitors will stand a chance to win attractive prizes, including flight tickets and theme park entrance tickets through the Buyers’ Contest.
Syed Abdul Rahman said MAEPS was an ideal venue as it is spacious and covers across one floor, allowing visitors to move about easily.

“Matta Fair Selangor Carnival is set to become an annual travel event at this venue,” he added.

MFSC 2018 will be open from 10am to 9pm.
