From today until Sunday, the airline will be offering tickets from as low as RM8 to destinations such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Phuket, Siem Reap, Pekanbaru, Ho Chi Minh City.
Tickets to AirAsia X destinations such as Shanghai, Perth, Auckland, Teheran and Mauritius will also be up for grabs for as low as RM198.
Flight dates with the promotional fares are between Jan 4 and Aug 21 next year.
Those planning to fly on AirAsia X can also upgrade to Premium Flatbed seats from only RM718.
The promotion is held to celebrate the airline’s winning streak at the Skytrax Award. They have managed to bag the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline and Asia’s Best Low-Cost Airline titles for the eighth consecutive year.
AirAsia Group CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said there was no other airline that had won a “World’s Best” award so many times in a row.
“It truly is an amazing achievement and we want to thank our guests who voted for us with low fares starting from just RM8,” he said in a statement.
Fernandes urged passengers to share their travel moments with the airline on social media using the “#travelgr8” hashtag.
AirAsia X Group CEO Datuk Kamarudin Meranun said winning the awards for several consecutive years proved that being a low-cost airline did not mean the service provided was of low quality.
He added that AirAsia X’s Premium Flatbeds included features such as universal power sockets, adjustable headrests and even a privacy screen.
Guests travelling on Premium Flatbeds can enjoy priority check-in, priority boarding, priority baggage, 40kg baggage allowance and complimentary meals as well as a pillow and duvet.
The promotional fares are applicable to AirAsia Malaysia (flight code AK), AirAsia Thailand (FD), AirAsia Indonesia (QZ), AirAsia Philippines (Z2) and AirAsia India (I5), as well as AirAsia X flights on Malaysia AirAsia X (D7) and Thai AirAsia X (XJ).
The fares listed exclude airport taxes, fees and other optional services.
