PUTRAJAYA, Feb 3 (Bernama) -- The Mystical Forest, Mermaid's World and Candy Courtyard are among the attractions at the ninth edition of the largest festival of flowers and gardens in the region, Royal Floria Putrajaya, which will be held here from May 27 to June 4.
With the theme 'Magical World of Floria', this year's Royal Floria Putrajaya will apply the latest technology from Europe which will excite all five senses - sight, sound, taste, smell and touch.
Putrajaya Corporation president, Datuk Seri Hasim Ismail said chrysanthemum was chosen as the theme flower and 400,000 species of flowers and plants would be displayed at the 29-acre exhibition space.
"Last year, Royal Floria Putrajaya attracted 750,000 visitors and the number is expected to reach one million this year.
"This is because the event will be held during the time of the school holidays in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand," he told reporters, here, today.
Hasim said the concept of this year's Royal Garden would be based on the state of Johor.
He added that for the first time, the Royal Floria International Dialogue would be held as a platform to exchange ideas and provide exposure on the best horticultural practices.
Other attractions include the Chrysanthemum Garden, Musical Garden and the 'Magic of The Night' boat parade.
