TOKYO: Nippon Airways will start flying between Narita airport here to Kuala Lumpur beginning September.
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the airlines would join Japan Airline in servicing the Narita-KL International Airport route.
"We will also continue to discuss on having landing rights for Malaysia Airlines (MAS) at Haneda airport in Tokyo," he told reporters after meeting his counterpart Akihiro Ohta here on Monday.
At present, only AirAsia X flies seven times weekly to Haneda airport which is only about 20 minutes away from the city centre. Flying to Haneda would really benefit MAS as it had a higher load of passengers, said Liow.
