Free thrills and spills at i-City

SHAH ALAM: i-City is giving out 18,000 free passes worth RM700,000 as part of its campaign to promote its tornado ride.

The ride, which opened in November last year and is the first of its kind in South-East Asia, has become a hit among visitors to the waterpark at i-City.

“The free passes are made available online so that it is easily accessible to everyone and from anywhere. “All you need to do is visit our webpage www.i-city.my/free, select your preferred date and follow the few simple steps to complete the booking. “Then bring along the printout and present it to the ticketing counter on the particular day that you have chosen,” said I-Berhad director Monica Ong.

She said 100 free passes were available daily and the promotion would last for six months between March 15 and Sept 15. She said if anyone missed out on the 100 free passes, they could still enjoy the ride at a discount.

Ong said 400 passes would be offered at RM10, 300 at RM15 and another 300 at RM20 each. “The non-promotion ticket price for the ride is RM40 each,” she said in her speech at the launch of “Now Everyone Can Slide” campaign here yesterday.

In conjunction with MATTA Fair at Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur, from March 15-17, online bookings can also be done at i-City booth (Level 2 Legar Putra, Booth No. 1015 & 1022) during this period.

Besides that, a special all-parks package at RM50 (normal price RM100) to WaterWorld, Snowalk, Trick Art Museum, Carousel and Ferris Wheel ride is also up for grabs at the fair.

Waterworld @ i-City is open daily from 10am to 10pm and entry tickets are priced at RM40 for adults and RM30 for children. I-Bhd executive chairman Tan Sri Lim Kim Hong and fair organising chairman Jeffri Sulaiman were also present at the launch.
