MAS increasing weekly flights to Kathmandu to five

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Airlines (MAS) is increasing the number of weekly flights between Kuala Lumpur and Kathmandu from three to five.
The flights will operate on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

MAS commercial director Dr Hugh Noel Dunleavy said the increased flights to the Nepali capital was in line with MAS' continued efforts to further strengthen its presence in the regional market.

“Kathmandu has been a wonderful experience for us at MAS and our customers alike. “The city is a hub for independent travellers as well as a growing vacation spot catering to all budgets. “Surrounded by serene mountains, it is a perfect place for those who yearn for a relaxing holiday or even a challenging mountain climbing adventure,” he said in a statement.

Dr Dunleavy said MAS would offer 1,600 seats (both directions) each week, adding that all-in return economy class fares would start from RM1,658 for travel from Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor Baru to Kathmandu, with economy class travel from Kota Kinabalu and Kuching starting at RM2,115.

Tickets are available at all distribution channels, mainly www.malaysiaairlines.com, Malaysia Airlines 24-hour toll-free number 1-300-88-3000, MH Buddy in Malaysia Airlines Facebook, MHmobile, MAS ticket offices and appointed agents throughout the country.
