The “daily double” was made possible after the national carrier received its third and fourth A380 aircraft on Monday and Friday respectively. The flight will arrive at London Heathrow the same day at 4.15pm with the return flight MH1 departing London daily at 10pm and arriving here the next day at 6.20pm.
The service will be complemented by a daily night service to London with MH2 departing KLIA at 11.40pm and arriving in London at 5.50am the following day. The return flight MH3 will depart London at noon and arrive in KLIA at 7.25am the next day.
The services will replace the 359-seater B747-400 flight operations between KLIA and London. MAS group chief executive officer Ahmad Jauhari Yahya said the new service was part of the airline’s business plan to win back customers.
