Airlines today announced the extension of rebooking travel flexibility that
offers passengers a longer ticket validity with a one-time fare difference and
service fee waiver, following the prolonged travel restrictions imposed by
countries and interstate travel for domestic destinations.
Eligible passengers can now rebook their travels on or before 31
December 2021 for travel to be completed by June 2022. Malaysia Airlines
previously offered passengers flexibility to rebook their travels on or before
30 June 2021 for travel to be completed by 31 December 2021.
Meanwhile, customers planning to make an advance booking for their
future travels are encouraged to opt for Economy Flex tickets, a unique fare
tier that seeks to create a stress-free and easy travel process. The Economy
Flex comes with benefits such as unlimited date changes with no fees incurred
alongside other travel perks, including free refunds without a fee, Go Show
flexibility, priority check-in, boarding, and check-in baggage allowance of
35kg.
In adapting to expectations for seamless, hygienic, and safe travel in
light of the new normal, Malaysia Airlines will be introducing a fully
contactless journey progressively with innovative features to its passengers’
experience including the Digital Travel Health, a feature that will streamline
passengers’ journey with COVID-19 related policies worldwide to ensure
passengers’ travel eligibility steps before they embark on their travel. The
contactless features which is an extension of the airline’s Fly Confidently
campaign is set to transform passengers' journey starting from home, where
passengers can create and customize their bookings such as selecting preferred
meals, seats and other services with the integration of enhanced features on
Malaysia Airlines’ mobile app.
As Malaysia continues to impose quarantine order for international
arrivals from certain destinations, MHholidays, the tour operating arm of
Malaysia Airlines now offers a quarantine package that comes with premium
hospitality including complimentary transport and welcome drink at selected
partner hotels, providing convenience to customers. In addition, customers can
have a pleasant and comfortable quarantine stay at the hotels approved by
Malaysia's Ministry of Health. The minimum number of nights required for a
