KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 5 (Bernama) -- Renowned
magician Kabir Khan Mohamad Reaz is to promote Visit Malaysia 2020 (VMY 2020)
during his shows overseas by conveying to the world of the unity within
diversity magic in Malaysia.
“If there is one thing that I would like to convey to my international audience, it will be that Malaysia is a paragon of unity, diversity and harmony,” he said.
Kabir Khan, who is also the Tourism Ambassador to the United States of America, United Kingdom and Europe, said he is committed to helping the government achieve the target of 30 million tourist arrivals next year through magic performances worldwide as part of promoting Malaysia.
“I had a courtesy meeting last week with the Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Mohammadin Ketapi at the World Tourism Conference to discuss what I have done in the past to attract visitors to Malaysia and my plans for VMY 2020,” he said during a press conference here today.
Kabir Khan will be conducting a series of performances in Tokyo, Geneva, London, Dubai and Los Angeles that are specifically designed to promote VMY2020.
He was appointed as the Tourism Ambassador by the government in 2016 and his tenure was recently extended to include the United States, United Kingdom and Europe.
