A run or marathon is no longer simply reaching for the finishing line. The young and the athletic in Peninsular Malaysia can expect a whole new hype this coming 2016 with the Run To Survive series scheduled to kick-off at Sutera Square, Johor Bahru, Johor on 2nd January, Setia City Park, Shah Alam, Selangor on 16th January, and Indera Mulia Stadium, Ipoh, Perak on 30th January 2016.
Jointly-organized by Delcom Management and JS Entertainment, the Run To Survive 2016 is the very first running event that features a five kilometers (5 km) fun run that includes unexpected zombies’ encounters and wild chase, limited-edition race kit and giveaways along the run. Registered runners will receive a branded Micro-dri neon T-shirt from ULTRON, a customised heart-shaped finishing medal (upon run completion), a 2D1N Holiday Getaway at Genting*, light sticks and also the opportunity for free health-check, special effects make-over by the same professional make-up team engaged by Universal Studios Singapore for Halloween and Horror-themed events before.
The registration fee for Run To Survive 2016 is RM75.00 per participant in which RM5.00 from each successful registration will be donated to IJN Foundation in order to fund treatments for the poor and underprivileged heart patients. It is also crucial to increase the public’s awareness on heart disease prevention as cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the number one killer globally.
