TIME Magazine rates Petronas Twin Towers among Top 10 global landmarks

PETALING JAYA: TIME magazine has recognised Petronas Twin Towers as one of 10 most iconic landmarks, alongside Mount Everest and the New York Empire State Building.
“No trip to the Malaysian capital would be complete without an expedition to the top of these towers,” said the article, published on Wednesday.
It also recommended a visit to the observation deck on the 86th floor, or walk between the structures on the Skybridge, 557 feet above ground.
Other landmarks that were included in the list are, Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Grand Canyon, Willis Tower in Chicago, The Shard in London, Eiffel Tower in Paris, Machu Pichu in Peru and the St Peters Basilica in Vatican City.
Also known as the Petronas Towers, the twin skyscrapers in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004.
They remain the tallest twin towers in the world.
