02 DECEMBER 2013: As an effort to allow more fans from around the world and especially Malaysia to witness the exciting 2014 PETRONAS Malaysia Grand PrixTM live at Sepang International Circuit (SIC), the early bird tickets are currently on offer at 50 percent discount. Introducing the new ticket prices early November which shows further reduction for 2014 tickets compared to 2013 pricing, the early bird discount will allow fans to buy tickets from as low as RM41.
Using the slogan – Sepang Comes Alive! The 16th edition of the Formula 1 PETRONAS Malaysia Grand Prix™ will take place from the 28th – 30th of March 2014. But, fans would need to act fast in purchasing the tickets as the hot offer will be ending in just matter of days at the end of the year.
“As the year end is very fast approaching, I would like to remind fans to get their tickets now at half the price. The offer is ending on 31 December. Come the New Year, it is back to the normal prices,” said SIC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dato’ Razlan Razali.
Malaysia will once again host the 2nd leg of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship and if history is anything to go by, the first few races will showcase the teams’ competitiveness as they set the early pace.
The discounted tickets will also give fans a full three-day access; as such, race fans are encouraged to take advantage of this great deal for the best seats in the house. Even the cheapest of tickets priced at RM41 at the K2 Hillstands will give fans a spectacular view of the first three corners. The F Grandstand with perfect viewing of Turns 6, 7 and 8, are going for only RM141 while the K1 Grandstand, which is above the first chicane can be bought for only RM331.
“For the more discerning of race fans, the Main Grandstand at the North Lower Tier, which offers a view of the F1 team pit garages can be purchased at a bargain price that starts with Garnet at RM336, Jade and Turquoise at RM446 while Crystal is going for RM611. In addition, we will be offering free seating area for the Citrine ticket holders located at the Main Grandstand South Lower Tier at only RM171”, added the CEO.
If 2013 Formula 1 PETRONAS Malaysia Grand Prix™ is anything to go by, fans can expect spectacular entertainment both on and off the track. With record breaking attendance of over 120,000, fans were given more than they bargained for with great on track action and pulsating off track entertainment with legendary rock band, Guns ‘N’ Roses leading the after race party. Nevertheless, next year 2014 Formula 1 PETRONAS Malaysia Grand Prix™ will be bigger and better providing exciting activities around the circuit.
Setting a target of more than 125,000 spectators for the race, Razlan said apart from wooing international fans to the race, SIC’s other emphasis would be in getting them to enjoy the Malaysian hospitality further at various tourists spot throughout the country with an unrivalled experience of the shopping extravaganza and also enjoying Malaysia’s scenic beauty and tropical weather.
