LEGOLAND® MALAYSIA Announces Opening Date

• Park begins countdown to 15 September official opening date

• First-of-its-kind theme park in Asia begins sale of discounted day tickets

• Over 35,000 annual passes sold to date

JOHOR, 25 April 2012 – To the delight of youngsters everywhere, LEGOLAND® Malaysia, today revealed its official opening date: Saturday, September 15, 2012. Inspired by Asia’s growing love affair with all things LEGO®, the new 76-acre theme park will cater to kids ages 2 to 12 with more than 40 “pink-knuckle” rides – from roller coasters to race cars as well as family focused interactive shows and attractions.

Siegfried Boerst General Manager of LEGOLAND Malaysia disclosed the date at a briefing and site tour held today in Nusajaya. “Our official opening date has been a closely guarded secret since the park broke ground in December 2009. We hope with today’s news families and tour operators can begin planning their trips to visit us and we look forward to giving you an experience like no other in Asia.”

Muhammad Zainal Ashikin b. Muhammad Rejab, Chief Executive Officer IDR Resorts said, “The Park is now approximately 75% finished with most of the rides and park infrastructure already installed. Last month our contractors began the work on the theming of the Park and the installing of millions of LEGO bricks and the attractions.”
