Stay: Welcome respite

Near highways and industrial areas yet secluded and lush, the Amansari Residence Resort makes corporate retreats and family vacations a treat, writes PEGGY LOH.

The colour green is a constant feature throughout Amansari Residence Resort in Masai, Johor. The employees wear green shirts, the gardens and parks outside are a vivid green and the lobby too exemplifies the colour theme. Amansari’s logo is a curly green tendril that resembles the pucuk paku (wild fern shoots). All this is refreshing for those escaping the blazing sunshine and the nearby industrial zone.

Its location and facilities make the resort popular for corporate meetings and family holidays. Its pillar-less hall is also increasingly the preferred choice for wedding banquets. The resort has a variety of rooms in studio and standard designs as well as three and four-room apartments. While they mostly complement events that require group accommodation, these nicely furnished apartments, in single- and double-storey designs, are also ideal for long-staying guests.

With a tiny balcony to enjoy a green view of the golf room, the room is tastefully designed and equipped with facilities that give comfort and convenience to guests. In the bathroom, the clever use of mirrors that span almost the length of the long and narrow space gives an impression of a much larger room.

Another indulgence is during breakfast which is served on the terrace that has a panoramic view of greenery on the fringe of the adjacent golf course. While the others leave for work and business at the nearby industrial zones, I sit back comfortably to slowly sip a second cup of coffee.
